Is Groupon worth it?

I was on Groupon this afternoon. I noticed a photographer offering their services and a 16x20 print for $49. He had sold over 120 of these vouchers. Sounds like a good deal. Hmmmm... let's read the small print and do the math. Expires Feb 27, 2013. Let's cross off Sundays and holidays, that leaves about 48 days to redeem all the vouchers. Now, Groupon gets $25 of the $49 sale. So the photographer is photographing almost 3 families each night for less than $25 each, minus the cost of supplies. What kind of family heirloom to you think these families will end up with? One worth less than $25!

Working on our web site.

I don't know if you've visited my website, www.dsportraits.com, but I've been working on an overhaul. It should work on iPads, iPhones, and other mobile devices. Of course, there still is plenty of Flash slideshows, but I'd imagine you'd be viewing them on a computer anyway. I've tried to make it more user friendly, with columns that are easy to change and update. Check back often!

I photographed this happy couple's groomals (they are kind of like a cross between engagement and wedding photos) not to long ago, outside of a beautiful building in Salt Lake City, Utah. I liked the dark, moody first image, but you couldn't see the rich architecture of the building. Once I brought out the detail, it completely changed the mood of the image! I like them both... what's your thoughts?
